The leash is a very thin nylon rope, but my Doberman, and my pit is putting it to the test, and it's doing well.

This is the 2nd leash that I have like this one.Pros: It works great for my two toy poodles. I love that this leash allows for my dogs to walk different directions and not get tangled. Also, I can still walk them with one hand free. Great design. I love the reflective leashes that can be seen at night. Gel handle is nice also.Cons: Only thing is you have to remember to not let the cord of the leash wrap around you and drag across your legs or body because you will get a bad rope burn. I wouldn’t allow a child to use it because of that issue and because it could end up wrapped around the child’s neck. Once you learn to maneuver it and get your dogs trained on it, you will not have a problem. Also, the reason I purchased a new one was because the locking mechanism on one leash broke. I need for both of them to work especially when camping and taking them for walks. So, I bought a new one.

I use this leash every day I’d highly recommend if you have SMALL dogs. Mine are under 25lbs each.

It took a bit to handle my 2 dogs and get used to the mechanism, but now I wouldnt be without it. Great invention. Any chance the colors could be neon pink and neon green (i have a boy and a girl). Highly recommended!
